This page expands the state overview with per-code operational data from NANPA: parent codes, projected exhaust dates, dialing patterns and relief status for all 23 New York codes.
Aggregate footprint: the state's 23 geographic codes currently carry 11,974 active NXX prefixes over 1,103 rate-center anchorings, with 8,665 prefixes in thousands-block pooling. 21 of the codes serve territory inside FCC top-100 metropolitan statistical areas.

The tightest capacity in the state is 347 (complex 347/718/917/929), projected to exhaust 3Q 2027.
Status: no New York code is currently in jeopardy or active relief planning — capacity is adequate near-term per NANPA.
