PhoneOwner Reference is a factual reference on United States telephone numbering: area codes, NXX prefixes, rate centers, time zones, and the mechanics of the North American Numbering Plan — plus documented guidance on recognizing and reporting phone fraud.

What this site is not

Despite the domain's history as a phone directory, this site does not identify the owners of phone numbers. It holds no names, addresses, or personal data, and no "reports" or user-submitted complaints about individual numbers. Public numbering data describes carriers and localities — never subscribers — and we consider fabricating the rest harmful. What we answer is "what is this number, geographically and technically, and how do I verify a caller legitimately."
